In Japan, asset management and property management have often been integrated by real estate companies or by other associated companies without clarifying their functions. However, after the collapse of the bubble economy, profitability has become increasingly important and real estate companies have sought an improvement in cash flow. The future of real estate requires improvement of management functions in more specialized areas, and it is thought that intense competition will develop in every area of real estate in order to improve the value of investments and properties. In these circumstances, Dualtap, Inc. consults with specialists in every major area of business practice, taxation, and law from the clear perspective of “real estate as an asset”. In order to make real estate asset acquisition and usage more profitable, we must respond to changing times as we meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our motto is to become a company that is needed by society as a whole, and to achieve this, all of our employees will work hard together. We ask for your continued more advice and support.

“I'm glad I own real estate!” Japanese people understand this feeling because land is considered to be a very important asset.
In order for our customers to think like this, we at Dualtap, Inc. put forward the idea of “intellectual entertainment through real estate”. Most people believe that there is no connection between “intellectual entertainment” and “real estate investment”. However, we feel that these two things are closely related. In short, “entertainment” means “to make someone smile,” and we feel that we want to contribute to the happiness of our customers through real estate sales. With this as our business principle, we promise to continue making many people smile and to develop even more customers.
Three promises for the success of intellectual entertainment:
■One policy
Every staff member, including directors, will always be “gentlemanly” – not only in our attitude towards customers, but also in the way we operate in life generally. Gentlemanly behavior is a desirable image, and our staff members have this attitude together with a respect for propriety at all times. We set a standard to never be ashamed of one’s behavior towards others and oneself. “Gentleman” describes our attitude and is the guideline for our actions.
■Two factors
There are many things in the world that consist of two factors. Positive and negative, front and back, new and old, and so on. Each thing is supported by this relationship, or may in fact define its identity by being an opposite of something, as in Newton's action-reaction law. The name of our company – Dualtap – is a coined word that refers to “Dual” (two-layered), and “tap” (development). Real estate tries to build a relationship between design and practicality. We believe it is our mission to balance the following apparent contradiction: “Rising above age and gender, a life rich in comfort and convenience.” Above all, together with our customers, we support the creation of a new type of value, and our name reflects this hope.
■Three pillars
There are three pillars enabling us to build excellent relationships with our customers: “strength”, “kindness” and “enjoyment”. Firstly, “strong” means more than investment: it means that we must reliably produce profit. Needless to say, the strength of property means selling properties with strong real estate value in times such as these – property that is helpful in forming assets for customers.
The next pillar is “kindness”, which of course refers to our attitude towards customers and our follow-up service, but it is also something we demand among our staff. For example, we show kindness as a company by adopting systems such as birthday absence so that staff can take a day off for the birthday of their spouse or loved one. Finally, “enjoyment” delivers a thrill to society through real estate. For instance, one of our ideas that has been highly praised is that we have message cards, etc. accompanying properties that have been sold.
Both on a corporate and individual level, Dualtap, Inc. will contribute to society through these three promises.
In recent years, there has been a sudden change in social conditions involving corporations, and the relationship between society and business is becoming deeper and more diverse. Society's assessment of corporate activity has become exceptionally strict, and the social demands of corporations have also become wide-ranging. This is the era of “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)”.
In order to deal with these social demands and to attempt sustainable development as a corporation, we are required to exercise persistent effort to acquire the trust of society, including customers and clients, and pursue economy and efficiency as the foundations of corporate activities.
However, with progressive reform of administrative environments, such as the globalization of finances, corporations have been exposed to tough competition domestically and abroad, which has resulted in some corporations becoming prone to the pursuit of immediate profit and has led in turn to the increasingly common occurrence of corporate scandals.
Once a corporate scandal occurs, any confidence and corporate value established to date are lost in an instant, and depending on the situation these misgivings may continue. For small-to-medium enterprises in particular, such scandals can deal a fatal blow to corporate administration.
In view of such circumstances, corporations will in future need to have a greater sense of duty and an awareness of abiding by laws – in other words, an awareness of compliance. From now on, sound support for social demands by cultivating awareness of compliance will be essential for sustainable development of the corporation.
Dualtap, Inc. hopes to achieve further continuous development as it aims to be the best partner for everyone, including all of our customers and clients, etc., and we will...
①Cultivate an unwavering principle of accomplishing work with priority for compliance in our executives and employees even if this means immediate profit;
②Support the will to bravely report to senior management such as Directors, etc. when there are any instances of conduct with compliance-related problems or anyone is found to be planning such conduct, even if the persons involved are one's superiors;
③Construct and maintain such principles and will in our corporate culture as our Basic Compliance Policy.
